دى وحدات يديرها عضو هيئة تدريس وحدة ادارة الموارد البشريه بتعمل دورات فى مجالات مختلفة للستاف والادارين والموظفين والعمال ع مستوى الكليه ووحدة التعليم الطبى المستمر دورات فى المجال الطبى

ده غير شؤون اعضاء هيئه التدريس اللي مسؤول عنه موظفين الكليه؟ يعني هل ده department معمول من اعضاء هيئه التدريس نفسهم؟

That is totally new to my ears but very important esp that we did not have this kind of learning facility before our masters or PhD degrees in our academic positions Candidates are left to trial and error in methodology in writing protocols or thesis which; for me at least; was very hectic and was hoping to have guidelines for the path

يوجد عندنا فى طب قناة السويس بجانب كل هؤلاء وحدة ال Research Methodology وتسمى باسم خادع حبتين ولكن لسبب وجيه Clinical Epidemiology Unit وهى تتبع شبكة دولية تشترط هذا الاسم لمن يعملون فى مجال طرق البحوث الاكلينيكية ومقرها استراليا. انشأنا هذه الوحدة تقريبا منذ انشاء الكلية ونعتمد عليها تماما فى تدريس ال Research Methodology اجباريا ومركزيا لطلبة ال Undergraduate لمساعدتهم اساسا فى تعلم تلك الطرق ثم فى بحوث الطلبة وهى ركن اساسى واختياريا لطلبة ال Postgraduate لمساعدتهم فى بحوث الرسائل العلمية ويقوم بادارة والتدريس فى هذه الوحدة نخبة من اعضاء هيئة التدريس عندنا معهم ماجستير Research methodologies من استراليا انصح بهذه الوحدة لاهميتها الشديدة وبالذات بعد ارساء التغييرات الحديثة فى المناهج. وجدى طلعت

E-learning Unit ينطبق عليها ما ينطبق على باقى الوحدات وطبعا دورها معروف ولا خلط بينه وبين الاخرين

We have an e-Learning Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University It is responsible for managing our LMS (Moodle) and helps us to create computer-based exams for under- and postgraduate students.

You forgot something: The Medical Education Department, like any other academic department, reports only to the Dean. The Dean, by law, is the Chairperson of all technical units (like EDC& Quality Unit) except he/she delegates this authority to a Senior Faculty. The Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community services is the Co-Chair in case these units are  وحدات ذات طابع خاص They all report to the Faculty Board. Wagdy Talaat

You got point It is not necessary to put them in a hierarchy. They work interdependently together; and all of them report to the higher administration, be it the vice dean or the dean according to the big organizational structure.

First, what’s the purpose of putting them in a hierarchy? To whom these units or department report? Nothing in particular Just to know who reports to whom?  Or whose work is influenced by Whom?  If they do not belong to a hierarchy; please clarify

; Good question! To answer your question, you have to know first the difference between Education (التعليم) and Training (التدريب). Education means enrollment of students in pre-made studies that are generalized and do not put in consideration the specific needs of the students and lead to academic degrees. On the other hand, Training does exactly the opposite: it is tailored to the trainees needs and planned on demand accordingly and does not lead to academic degrees (simply because it is offered by non-academic centers). So, and to answer your question, Medical Education Department offers education (not training) that is not offered by the other training centers. Wagdy Talaat
